Rooted in southern family tradition, our passion for outdoor living began long before our business did. My brother and I grew up surrounded by the craft, watching our parents shape landscapes with both artistry and care. It started in 1995 with my dad, Howard Narron, whose love for the outdoors and dedication to growing things inspired it all. Soon after, my mom, Lisa, brought her creative eye and business expertise, designing landscapes that felt like works of art.
Together, they instilled in us the values of craftsmanship, service, and creating spaces where families can gather, relax, and thrive.

Founder/Designer
Meet Drake Mailhot — a visionary in the world of outdoor living design. As the owner of Southern Outdoor Living, Drake has built a reputation for transforming ordinary yards into extraordinary outdoor living spaces. More than an entrepreneur, he’s also a motivator, community connector, and host, bringing people together through design, creativity, and collaboration.
From crafting custom outdoor spaces to leading charitable projects like a therapeutic garden for children, Drake is passionate about creating environments that inspire connection and well-being.
Lisa Narron
Co-founder
Hi, I’m Lisa, co-founder of Southern Landscape Solutions of Tampa Bay, Inc., which I proudly run with my husband and son. As a family, we’ve built a company known for delivering luxury outdoor spaces with care, creativity, and lasting value.
I bring a balance of professional vision and personal passion to our work, making sure each project not only looks beautiful but feels like home. Outside the business, I love spending time with my family, giving back to the community, playing golf, and even tending to my reef aquarium, always finding inspiration in the details that make life unique.
Howard Narron
Operations Manager
As Operations Manager of Southern Landscape Solutions, Paul Howard Narron brings more than 30 years of hands-on industry experience and leadership. A proud U.S. Air Force veteran, Paul is known for his discipline, accountability, and unwavering commitment to excellence—values he carries from his military service into every project.
Throughout his career, Paul has successfully launched and managed three other businesses, giving him a deep understanding of what it takes to deliver results, lead teams, and build lasting customer relationships. At Southern Landscape Solutions, he oversees day-to-day operations, ensuring projects run efficiently, safely, and with the high standards clients have come to expect.
Paul’s reputation is built on reliability, problem-solving, and a steady presence in the field. His leadership, combined with decades of experience, makes him an invaluable part of the Southern Landscape Solutions team.
Scotty Blankenship
Network Growth
Scotty Blankenship serves as the Networker and Connector for Southern Outdoor Living, where he focuses on building relationships and creating meaningful connections that support the company’s growth. With a natural ability to connect people and opportunities, Scotty strengthens partnerships, fosters community ties, and ensures clients feel engaged and valued throughout their journey with us.
Before joining Southern Outdoor Living, Scotty built a strong foundation in relationship management and workforce solutions during his time with Westaff, where he combined sales expertise with a service-driven mindset—developing new business opportunities while building strong, lasting relationships with customers.
His people-first approach and strong networking skills make him an essential part of the Southern Outdoor Living team, helping the company expand its reach while maintaining a reputation for trust, quality, and collaboration.

Our journey is rooted in strong southern family values.
Our parents raised us to think outside the box with a strong work ethic. So, as I learned about the business, I stumbled into success. Unfortunately, I lost my brother early in our business, which crushed us to the core. It took the wind out of our sails, but we found strong support in the Tampa Bay area. That support led us to want to give back to our community. So, we created the Brandon Lee Lewis Scholarship Award to support young entrepreneurial dreamers as they transition into the real world.
As faith-driven entrepreneurs, we’ve created an exceptional service in the landscape industry to create beautiful outdoor spaces. We’ve built a team of great players that help us succeed, do great things for our clients, and give back to our community. Our 35 years of landscaping experience and dedication to delivering beautiful landscape designs, quality installations, and drainage solutions make us one of the best local landscapers in the Tampa Bay Area.
